Indian Society of Periodontology (ISP) is a non-profit making organization of Periodontists from all over India. ISP, the National Society was founded in 1975 with great efforts of Dr. G B Shankawalkar, Dr. (Mrs.) T M S Ginwalla, Dr. Lalit Guglani along with contemporary periodontists, academicians and clinicians namely Dr. V N Bhatavadekar, Dr. R P Nayak, Dr. S A Kale, Dr. R N Deshpande, Brig N V Kamat, Dr. V K Gore, Dr. B R R Verma, Dr. T N Chawla, Dr. C P Boghani, Dr. Didar Singh Riar, Dr. Ms. I R D'Silva, Dr. K L Benerjee, Dr. K R Lakhanpal, Dr. N K Piroshaw, Dr. P K Baskar, Dr. K K Kapoor, Dr. Mrs. R H Jaffer and Dr. Mrs. Poonam Bhambani with the aim of promoting and enhancing the knowledge and science of Periodontology and making awareness and prevention of Periodontal diseases amongst the Indian population. It is the one and only organization for the speciality of Periodontology in India. It has come a long way since its inception. Today ISP is one of the most represented dental super speciality organizations in India and Abroad.
ISP Study Group, Pune in association with Dr. D. Y. Patil Dental College and Hospital, Pimpri, Pune organizes “Perio-connect”, West Zone Perio UG Convention, 2024. This undergraduate convention based on the theme “Upgrade the Undergrads” will enable the students to understand and learn the various aspects of periodontics. The highlights of this event include special guest speakers from U.S.A and Vietnam, eminent speakers from all around India, live interactions with the speakers at main event and pre-conference courses, myriad of pre-conference courses with hands-on to explore, and knowledge of basics of Perio to Implant. The students will be able to understand the interrelationship of various branches of dentistry like Endodontics, Prosthodontics and Orthodontics with Periodontics. This national undergraduate convention will not only be academically enriching for all but will also be a perfect weekend get-away to travel and explore the beauty of Pune.

Organising Committee delegated with the responsibility of the "WEST ZONE PERIO UG CONVENTION 2024" comprises of Dr. D. Gopalakrishnan as Organizing Chairman, Dr. Sharath Kumar Shetty as Organizing Secretary, Dr. Santosh Martande as Treasurer, and Dr. Anita Kulloli as Scientific Chairperson. Our objective is to make this Convention most memorable to all the participants.
