Poster Presentation General Rules

  • Registration for the UG convention is mandatory for all the presenters and co-presenters.
  • Abstracts should be structured with a maximum word limit of 200 words and should be related to the categories of poster presentation.
  • Abstracts should contain original material that has not been presented at another meeting at the time of submission.
  • Please provide complete information (correct email, full mailing address, contact number and registration number in the submission form to enable us to process your submission.
  • The scientific committee will have the sole discretion to accept/decline the poster presentation.
  • All abstracts for poster will be the exclusive property of the scientific committee.
  • A confirmation email on the receipt of abstract will be automatically sent. Please ensure you have provided a valid email account during submission. We will not be responsible for any missed-out information, if you do not provide a correct email in the first place. Sometimes you may need to check the spam mail folder if you do not receive any emails from us.
  • A unique number shall be allotted to each poster at the time of acceptance of abstract and shall be communicated to the lead presenter.
  • Decision about acceptance/rejection/conversion shall be communicated to the lead presenter by email.
  • All the presenters will be presented certificates of scientific presentation.

Poster Presentation Guidelines

Categories for poster presentations are:

  • 1. Non-surgical periodontal therapy
  • 2. Surgical periodontal therapy
  • 3. Dental implants
  • Only selected posters (which are displayed on the website) will be allotted a unique number for presentation.
  • Duration for poster presentation will be 5 minutes (3 minutes for presentation followed by 2 minutes for discussion). Speaker should strictly adhere to the time schedule. The talk time will be strictly enforced by the session chair.
  • A maximum of three students can group together for a poster. Certificates will be issued to all three students.
  • The posters should be in JPG format (Portrait orientation) on a single slide and should have the name of the author/s.
  • The presenter(s) should report 20 minutes before their designated time slots.
  • The best poster for each category will be awarded and one consolation certificate in each session will be presented.
  • Timelines for your slots will be displayed on the website.
  • Poster presentation will be conducted on both the days.
